At KVALITO, we are proud to have supported an extraordinary group of 17 women from Mayo who recently completed a remarkable 605 km cycle from Mizen in Cork to Malin in Donegal. This iconic challenge, organized by Westport Women on Wheels, aimed to raise vital funds for two important Irish charities: the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Mayo Rape Crisis Centre Ltd.
Over months of rigorous training, these dedicated athletes clocked up an impressive 40,000 km in preparation for the challenge. Their journey, which began on September 4th, 2024, was both inspiring and impactful as they cycled across Ireland from its southernmost point to its northernmost.
Led by Ironman athlete Colette Sweeney of the Westport Leisure Centre, the women battled tough conditions and tackled some of Ireland’s most challenging terrain—all for the love of the cause and the community they represent.
Supporting a Great Cause

- The Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, which provides palliative care services to individuals in need.

A Journey Across Ireland
The Mayo women’s journey included four days of intensive cycling, with daily stages ranging from 128 km to 157 km:
- Day 1: 147 km from Schull to Charleville (Cork)
- Day 2: 157 km from Charleville to Athlone
- Day 3: 128 km from Athlone to Enniskillen
- Day 4: 147 km from Enniskillen to Malin (Donegal)
The commitment and teamwork of these women are a true reflection of community spirit, endurance, and dedication to making a positive impact.
